DECORATED VALENTINE GIFT BUCKET AND JEWEL DAZZELS

Designer Tip: Attach felt pieces and rose ribbon with Zots. This would make a fun container for Valentine treats, or a small gift.
Supplies:
•Mini Pail
•Heart Felt Shapes
•Swirls & Flourishes Dazzles™ Black
•Red Heart Jewel Dazzles™
•Gold Jewel Dazzles™
•Small Red Roses Ribbon
•Bountiful Ribbons
•Medium Zots™
•Solid light pink cardstock
•Font: Gasoline alley
Instructions:
1.Remove the lid from the pail. Cut a 9"x2 ¼" pink cardstock rectangle and place along the inside edge of the pail. Hold in place with Zots.
2.Glue thin red grosgrain ribbon around the top and bottom edges of the outside of the pail. Decorate the pail with felt hearts, Dazzles, and ribbons as shown. Decorate the top of the lid as well.
3.Tie ribbons to the handle, alternating colors for contrast. Cut a tag from pink cardstock. Write or computer print "Happy Valentine's Day" on the center, then Zot to the handle near the ribbons.

Designer Tip: Using alcohol ink is a great way to add pretty color to a bottle, and Dazzles are the perfect embellishments! This makes a fun Valentine's gift or party favor.
Supplies:

•Gold Memory Thread, Red Memory Thread
•Red Pepper, Mushroom Oregano Alchohol Inks, Gold and Silver Alcohol Ink Mixatives
•Blending Solution
•Medium Zots™
•3-D Foam Squares Variety Pack
•paper towels or newspaper to cover work area, rubber gloves to protect hands
•Paintbrush handle or X-acto® knife handle (for curling memory thread)
Instructions:
1.Remove the cork from the bottle, then place the bottle on your covered work area. While holding the bottle with one finger on the inside, add several drops of blending solution to the outside of the bottle, then a few drops of red pepper alcohol ink, and a few drops of gold mixatives alcohol ink, then a few more drops of the blending solution. Turn the bottle and let the colors run together for a pretty mixture of gold and red. Let the bottle Dry.
2.Decorate the bottle with Dazzles as shown. Back the word heart stickers with excess gold Jewel Dazzles material, and use a strip of excess gold Jewel Dazzles material to decorate the sides of the bottle.
3.Wrap the neck of the bottle with 12" of red and 12" of metallic gold memory thread, then wrap around a small paint brush handle to curl the memory thread into tendrils. Add the gold-backed word heart Dazzles to the ends of the tendrils. Replace the cork in the top of the bottle.
VALENTINE COASTER GIFT BOX
SUPPLIES:
Mod Podge
Foam brush
Five 4” x 4” medium-weight chipboard coasters Need some of these? StartLitStudio (Cindy Lyles) stocks chipboard coasters in her online store.
Five 4” x 4” pieces of patterned paper
Sanding Block
Ribbon
Piercing template
Hole punch
Scissors
E-6000 or other strong glue
Step 1
Adhere one 4" x 4" patterned paper square to each of the five coasters by applying Mod Podge™with a foam brush. Let dry.
Step 2 (Optional)
Sand and trim rounded edges. Coat the outside with Mod Podge™ for a finished look.
Step 3
Place the piercing template on the edge of one of the coasters. Trace approximately every other large hole onto the coaster.
You will have 5 traced holes lining the side.
Step 4
Punch the holes with a hole punch. A Crop-o-Dile™ was used here.
Step 5
Once one side of the coaster is punched, set it directly on top of each of the other coasters and use it as a punching guide. Punch two opposite sides of 4 coasters.
The fifth coaster will be used as the bottom of the box and should not be punched.
Step 6
Use ribbon to tie the four sides of the box together. You can lace the ribbon or tie it across the coasters.
Step 7
Apply strong glue to the edges of the last coaster. Adhere to the bottom of the coaster box.
Step 8
Finish project.
