Winter Candle

This cute winter candle was made by LeNae Gerig, a designer of Paper Wishes, This candle would look nice on any holiday table or mantel, by itself for in a group, supplies used to make this candle were, a white candle (you can get these from the dollar tree), stacked snowflake dazzels (from Paper Wishes), Brass and Copper Wire Mash (can buy thru Paper Wishes, may also beable to buy at your local craft store), and 3-d foam squares (available at your local craft store).

More Hats

Here are some other hats I've made, I make little purses or scarfs to go with the child size hats and I make scarfs to go with adult hats, and give them or sell them in sets.

Crochet Hat Scrafs and Purses

Yes Ladies I put down my Paper Trimmer and Pattern Paper for a Crochet Hook :), I'm making my Christmas Gifts this year for family and friends, (and also making a couple of bucks selling hats and Scrafs as gifts) :). These two beautiful little girls are my friends Aubri and Nevaeh (aren't they pretty) (and I really love their Grandma :o) ), they are modeling the hats and purse that I had made for them, I really enjoy making these hats, I am also making hats matching scarfs for older girls and adults. I thought you might enjoy me sharing these pictures with you. :O)

TEMPLATES

"Hot Off The Press" has come up with 3 New Templates that I'm really exicted about, I ordered mine already, and I love them! they come in a nice 12x12 size, they can be used to make cards all the way up to making 12x12 scrapbook layouts, I can't wait the use them :0).

BAKSETBALL 2005

Allyce tried her had at basket ball, her dad was the fill in couch, she found that she like soccer the best, this year she tried out for the "Butte United Soccer League", and was accepted, this team travels and around and has a game on both Saturdays and Sundays, she's quite the busy girl latley :0), this soccer season last's thru the end of November.

HALLOWEEN 2005

Jennifer and Kevin has a Great Halloween party at their house, Allyce made a cute witch even with a broken arm, her friend Hannha came over to "trick or treat" with her, Jennifer and Keven were also in the spirit, they all went out trick or treating in the neighborhood, was a fun night, Grandma and Poppa, stayed in and passed out candy to all the Ghosts and Goblins that came to the door.

COUSINS

Please excuse the glare on photos, I was using the kitchen counter today to take photos of my layouts instead of my craft table, the Kitchen counter is a higher table surface and I have short little legs, Lol!.

This is a photo taken a few years ago while my mother was staying for a few months visit, what a GREAT TIME! we had, we were able to visit cousins that we had not seen in awhile and went on many weekend trips while mom was here, what a great memory, and I was glad to capture these special moments on camera and scrapbook them. :0).

YES LADIES!, there is a Slide Mount Mania!, I love my Slide Mount Mania Idea book with 145 project ideas in it, from "Hot Off The Press", there is sooooooooo many cute project ideas in it you can glean from!, And I LOVE MY SLIDE MOUNT TEMPLATE! from "Hot Off The Press", I can make as many slide mounts as I want with this tool, I can use it over and over again, and it was soooooo inexpensive (which I like :0)), you can order your own from "Hot Off The Press", if you are a Scrapbooker or a Card Maker, you will be glad you did. ;o), just Google "Hot Off The Press" and look at their on line catalog, you may beable to have them send you a free catalog, you will be glad that to did. :>).

CRAFTING WITH SLIDE MOUNTS

As you can see there's many diffrent paper crafts you can do with slide mounts, you can make a layout or an emblishement for a scrapbook page, an emblishement(s) for a card, etc. These slide mount designes were made by designers from the "Hot Off The Press" team, Susan Cobb, LeNae Gerig, Laura Nicholas, and Paris Duke, Slide Mounts are one of my favorite tools, you can do so many things with slide mounts, make picture frames for a scrapbook layout or a card with small photos, frame words and phrases, the list just goes on and on :0), is it any wonder that I love slide mounts! :0)

CARDS

I have been wanting to get back to my first love which is card making using stamps, I have lot's of wood mounted stamps that are just setting on the shelf collecting dust, I have been wanting to experiment with coloring techniques and renew my love for my favorite coloring technique which is using colored pencils on stamped images, these two stamped images are from Stampin' Up, I have this stamp set, it is soooo cute!, one of my favorites. Another type of stamp that I'm loving using is the clear acrylic stamps, I love them because you can see where your stamping because they are clear, you can do so many things with stamps, you can also decorate your scrpbooking pages using stamps, stamps are so versatile and can be used over and over again.

Stamp Blooms on Transparencies

Use an abstract flower-shape foam stamp and acrylic paint to give a layout spring flavor. Alison stamped the flowers on the textured side of a transparency, allowed them to dry, and cut them out. She attached some to the layout with adhesive foam for dimension, layering them atop and beneath other page elements.

To give freehand flowers a uniform look, practice your shape on scratch paper first. When you're happy with your design, cut it out and use it to trace the image onto the backs of several coordinating patterned papers. Shannon finished her flowers with buttons tied on with ribbon.

RECYCLED PAPER

Ephemera, or found paper goodies, can be just as pretty as your favorite patterned paper. Patricia gave her losing lottery tickets new life by cutting them into flower shapes that bloom across her page. Because most ephemera are not acid-free, spray them with archival mist before using.

CLUSTERED RIBBON STRIPS

Soften metal flowers with strips of colorful ribbon. Shannon arranged several 1-1/2" pieces of colorful ribbon in pinwheel patterns and secured them to the flowers with coordinating brads. She used a green watercolor pencil to draw the stems and leaves inspired by her patterned-paper designs.

If you're not sure how to incorporate a busy patterned paper into a clean, simple layout, try trimming a few bold designs from the paper and add them to your page. Jennifer also cut elements from word-print paper and a coordinating pattern to create the green collage in the lower right corner of the page.

SPIRAL PUNCHED CIRCLES

Spiral Punched Circles

Whip out your circle punches to craft simple, graphic flowers. Polly created her flowers by spiraling five punched circles of patterned paper, machine-stitching along the edges for texture, and tying a button in the center of each. For fuller flowers, layer more circles and vary the sizes.

Doodle Flowers

Kelli created a layered design of doodled flowers by starting with a circle. She drew some of her spirals directly on the background and others on scraps of cardstock and then punched out the pieces before mounting them with adhesive foam. She doodled the leaves on vellum and stitched them to the layout to add more texture to the page.
